I see this girl about five days a week at university, and I've been in love with her for about a year. I've gotten a lot of mixed signals. Sometimes I feel she might like me. Other times I'm certain she doesn't even consider me that significant a friend. It's really tearing me up. I'd do anything not to feel the way I do. I'm scared to say anything in case I ruin what I consider a great friendship. Any advice? How do you deal with unrequited love for a friend you see every day?
Well if you really would ';do anything not to feel the way you do,'; then you need to speak up. You've had these feelings for a year? That's way too long to let those go unvoiced. If you ruin the friendship, then I'm sorry, but big rewards come with big risks. You've gone on feeling like this long enough. It's time to step uo to the plate and be honest with her about how you feel. Nothing good's ever gonna come if you sit on the bench all your life. Step up, take a chance, and see what happens. Tell her how you feel.
