Christians: how do you deal with the contradiction, love all humanity and torture non-Christians eternally?

It seems like at least one of your dogmatic beliefs is in direct conflict with another. Contradictions in core principles are never easy to deal with and it would be far more logical if you made yourself a set of new core principles with no contradictions. Or have you guys figured out a way to live with contradicting core principles? Have you guys figured out a way to love something whilst torturing it for eternity?Christians: how do you deal with the contradiction, love all humanity and torture non-Christians eternally?
Where did you get this from? I've never seen a Christian do this, NEVER. You couldn't point out in the bible where it says this either.

Stop putting down Christians.Christians: how do you deal with the contradiction, love all humanity and torture non-Christians eternally?
True Christians DO NOT believe that. The Bible does not teach that.
We aren't the one torturing you. You are the one torturing yourself when you choose to live in disobedient. So don't ask us about torturing anyone because we don't.
By being brainwashed from an early age and following only scriptures that fit their needs and desires.
Christian read question... Brain hurt... Logic baaaaaaaad!
Hey we're like the mafia

(think this in a mafia guys voice)

Hey!! Paolo, You can either sleep with demons in hell, or you can believe me when I tell you that jesus died on the cross for you and god is real.

(end monologue)

All it takes is to believe in jesus or else you go to hell how is it so hard to do that!?
I believe you are talking about heretic Christian.

I know many Christian who are Greek Orthodox and they do not believe this, also Catholics I met. They are nice people. They think same as me-if we all believe in God and try to serve God and be good people-then we may enter paradise.
I'm a Universalist Christian. I don't believe in eternal damnation.

Too bad for you. There will be no hiding from the light!
Because Jesus is his own father...He is the God almighty of the universe and son of the God almighty of the universe.
God is a loving God but he is also a just God. He cannot have sin in his presence. We are all doomed to Hell initially. But God Sent Jesus to earth who lived a sinless life on earth adn then was punished and went to Hell. Those who do not choose to accept the gift of Christ and what he did , then they choose to be tortured for eternity.
There's nothing in my Bible about me torturing non-Christians.
There are MANY MANY contradictions in the bible. Most people chalk it up to faith and ignore the question at hand.
i can still love someone, and they make bad choices. choices have consequences, which i know, is a faux paux in american society...it is never our fault. it is the choice of the individual, has nothing to do with love. i do not see it as a contradiction.
It's all very Orwellian isn't it?
';Christians: how do you deal with the contradiction, love all humanity and torture non-Christians eternally?';

One word... meaning pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others... Schadenfreude.

~
Firstly Jesus died so all sinners have a chance to go to Heaven. Notice that small detail: not all sinners will get there. There is a reason for that: not all sinners want to go to Heaven. Now what should God do with someone that hates him? What do you do when someone who you hate turns up at your front door? Do you invite them in? No, you tell them to get lost. So does God have that same right? Of course!

Also, there are people in this world who do really bad things and don't feel any shame in it. Now should God ignore this or should he punish them? Well, rightly or wrongly, God has chosen to judge them, but to be fair, he judges everyone. But then, you say, no one would get into Heaven. That is right, no one would, except for one reason: Jesus. Yes, like it or not, God sent Jesus to die on a cross so that people, like you and me, have a choice. If you want to go to Heaven when you die, then do what God wants you to do: follow Jesus.

So God has decided that is the way it is. He is God and he made the rules. We may not like them, but we don't have a choice on that. Just like the President of the USA makes decisions and isn't answerable to anyone for them, so God has done the same thing.
Dear Desiree'

When you begin to understand that God has made a way for salvation, a free gift of love to all who will receive it and for those who reject it no eternal life with Christ; you choose;

It's sort of like you have cancer (sin) and a provision has been made for your healing but you refuse it, so you pay the consequences

Two roads, one to eternal bliss, the other to a fiery pit...choose you this day whom you will serve; you cannot serve two masters

I hope that clears it up for you once and for all
The Bible does not say that God punished the human race for one man's sin, but that the nature of sin, namely the claim that it is our right to ourselves, entered into human race through one man. Yet it says that another Man took upon Himself the sin of the human race and put it away - an infinitely more profound revelation. The nature of sin is not immorality and wrongdoing, but the nature of self-realization which leads to us saying,';I am my own god.';

When the Lord faced either people with the forces of evil in them, or people who were clean-living, moral upright, He paid no attention to the moral degradation of one, nor of the other moral attainment people. He looked at something we do, yet not seen, namely the nature of man. (John2:25)

Christ came to deliver me from this heredity of sin, and yet I refuse to let Him do so. From the moment I began to get the seal of damnation. ';This is condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light....';(John 3:19)
Hi Desiree, I hope you are well!

Theology 101 - Hell is the absence of God. When we sin, we voluntarily turn our backs on Him and separate ourselves. Once we cross the threshold of eternity, our choices become permanent. God made you and I on purpose. He wants none of us to choose to be without Him, but that is up to us. Hell, which will include full knowledge of God, but will be void of Him and all hope, will be torture.

Always praying for you, Desiree :)

PS - I didn't make the rules, I just choose to follow them.
pot meet kettle

you'll never be able to prove that god does not exist :)
I don't torture people. God doesn't torture people. People allow themselves to be thrown into the flame, and Satan and his demons will torture them.
how do you deal with the fact that you will be tourtured? not meaning this in any peculiar way, but what is it to you?
